What is Bernie's Basics?

Bernie’s Basics is our family business. We promote herbal blends made to ease and support the nervous system.

I’m Elizabeth González and it was my dream to add products to the wellness world that help lower inflammation and ease stress —my biggest enemies in my fight to keep my Lupus flair ups under control. Inflammation was making it hard for me to walk at 19 years old.

Twenty two years later and I can testify that knowledge of anti inflammatory foods has changed my life.

 That epic journey eventually turned into a mission to create simple organic products that made it easy to add anti inflammatory supporting herbs to our everyday lives in the simplest ways possible.

I met Michael Bernardini in 2014, he had an impressive library, several notebooks full of recipes, very strict standards and the utmost respect for the planet and plant medicine. 

As we grew into a family he made me blends—at first honey herbal sodas and teas to treat my nausea and help support my uterus through the pregnancy of our first child. 

We worked on recipes for my flair ups—caffeine free energy boosters that lowered my pain and inflammation.

When our daughter started eating her first foods and broke out in rashes, he made the NēNē blend out of Antihistamine herbs. Our go to allergy season tea.

When we lost our son Malcolm at birth, born too early, he made a blend we now call Everyday Rising to help us move through the day even though we found it hard to breathe or to move.

Every one of our blends was born out of a need in our family and became my mission to share it with yours—-just in case there’s a chance it’s exactly what you were looking for.
